Thanks for your support of Pickle for Parkinson’s!
Here’s a recap of our pickleball tournament:
102 doubles teams competed and brought many spectators
45 volunteers helped conduct the tournament
67 players and volunteers participated in the Skills Competition
32 messages were posted on the Mission Board
More than $17,000 was donated to the Mission for Movement from players and our 30 sponsors.
All proceeds from the tournament will be used locally by the Mission for Movement to provide social engagement and exercise programs for people with Parkinson’s in the greater Baton Rouge area. An example includes the launch of the Hopeful Movement support group in north Baton Rouge on Nov. 14.
We appreciate everyone who contributed to a successful tournament with a special thanks to our host—The Legacy at Bonne Esperance.
Please share your feedback with us
The LSU students who helped us with the tournament are conducting a survey to gather feedback that will help Mission for Movement plan and implement future events. Please participate in this 10-question survey by clicking this link and taking the survey. Thank you for providing your valuable input!
